Narrative:

I was flight attendant a on the airbus. I felt completely fine the entire trip. We got to 10;000 [feet] and remained seated since we were informed it would be bumpy. My head started to hurt very badly. A couple of minutes later I smelled a strong; chemical type odor. My head continued to hurt. The pilot called back and said it was safe to get up now. I immediately went to the back and asked the flight attendants if they smelled anything. They did not. I told them my head was hurting badly. I went back up to the front and started my service. I then noticed I had a metallic taste in my mouth. The pilots came out to go to the bathroom. I explained what happened to the first officer. He told me to tell the captain. I told the captain when the first officer went out. He asked if I was feeling better now. I told him I thought so but wasn't sure. He didn't seem concerned. I was confused and told the captain that I knew something was wrong. I went out and continued the flight; still experiencing the pain in my head. I only smelled the odor two times but it went away. Upon descent; the captain called back and said I needed to fill out a form. He said that he had never experienced any problems before. We landed at ZZZ and deplaned. The flight attendant found the form and I started to fill it out. It was very hard to concentrate and I wish I had had someone there to advocate on my behalf. I asked if I could fill the form out in the terminal and the captain said no; he wanted it now. I told the other flight attendants to go ahead and leave. I was extremely upset and confused. They left; I filled out the form as best as I could. I wanted to get off the plane and didn't understand why I being forced to remain there when something made me sick. I walked out and asked a driver if someone could take me to the terminal and he did. I spoke with a supervisor and filled out a report. I think it should be protocol that the captain go out and investigate to see if he notices anything. It's difficult when there's only one flight attendant up front. I didn't want to alarm any passengers so I couldn't ask them.every situation should be handled seriously. At the time that happened; there's a lot of confusion. I had extreme difficulty trying to concentrate and control my emotions. I had never experienced anything before and wish the situation could've been handled better.
