Narrative:
On the morning of [date]; a [helicopter] that was conducting a power line patrol for [company] incurred a mid-air near miss with an agriculture aircraft. It is unknown what the crop duster mission was but comments from crew are that it appeared to be flying enroute along the same power line as the [helicopter] crew and not engaged with any spraying operations. When the aircraft was observed; the crew made an abrupt flight control input to avoid contact and then returned to base once clear of traffic.it should be noted that the TCAS on [the helicopter] was installed and operational but did not go off so we suspect the air tractor had no transponder or if equipped; it was not turned on.
