Narrative:
During takeoff rotation on the upper ECAM we received a green message that said 'refueling'; which indicated to me that the fueling door on right wing had come open in some fashion. After leveling off and cleaning the airplane up and running the after takeoff checklist. We then received another ECAM; flight cntrl slat fault. From then we realized that this may have something to do with the fuel door and we would need to return to ZZZ. We slowed the aircraft down asked ATC for vectors and [requested priority handling]. While receiving delay vectors we had ample amount of time to run the QRH procedure and land on longest runway xxc in ZZZ. Once QRH was finished and we started to reconfigure; all flight controls slats and flaps worked normally. Landing was safe and normal. Canceled emergency as we taxied into gate. Fuel door was bent after inspection at gate.fueler did not properly latch fuel door after refueling aircraft at gate.further training for fuelers to understand proper door latching.
