About 200 nm east of ZZZZ the passengers and crew smelled a burning oder. We requested priority handling; departed the track and diverted ZZZZ. Weather was 100 overcast and 1/4 mile visibility. We executed a CAT III approach and landed safely. We taxied to the gate with no complications. The passengers and crew deplaned shortly after getting to the gate.cause: tin foil was found in the galley's oven exhaust fan. Clean the ovens.

Title: B767 flight crew reported being notified by the flight attendants of a burning smell in the cabin during cruise prompting a diversion and uneventful landing. Reportedly; the smell was caused by tin foil found in the galley's oven exhaust fan.
