Narrative:
During the cruise phase of flight we [received] hydraulic 2 lo press caution message followed by ib flight splrs and ib splrns messages. Hydraulic fluid in reservoir - 0%. We [performed] the QRH; [and] asked ATC for assistance as well. The flight attendant and dispatch [were] advised about the situation.because we [would] have to land with 20 degree flaps setting and high energy; faster approach speed; significantly increased landing distance and other factors we [requested] the longest runway available.
