Narrative:
On climb out from cvg clearance issued by ZID controller to climb from 12000' to FL230. Climbing through 15400' ZID controller issued amended clearance to level at 15000' advised controller of present altitude and descended back to 15000'. Apparent conflict aircraft seen at 1 O'clock approximately 4 mi same altitude. Other aircraft on arrival ot cvg. The coordination between ZID controller and cvg approach control appeared to be less than desirable. Other daily situations at cvg ATC facility does not achieve efficient operations, especially during periods of 'hub' pushes.

Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR ISSUED CLIMB TO THE MLG WHICH RESULTED IN LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION FROM ANOTHER ACFT AT 16000'.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT FROM CVG CLRNC ISSUED BY ZID CTLR TO CLB FROM 12000' TO FL230. CLBING THROUGH 15400' ZID CTLR ISSUED AMENDED CLRNC TO LEVEL AT 15000' ADVISED CTLR OF PRESENT ALT AND DSNDED BACK TO 15000'. APPARENT CONFLICT ACFT SEEN AT 1 O'CLOCK APPROX 4 MI SAME ALT.
