Narrative:

Attempted crosswind landing. As aircraft was being aligned with runway from 'crabbed' approach and landing flare begun, upwind wing could not be controled. Allowing left wing to contact runway causing ground loop and subsequent gear collapse from 'sideload'. Safety recommendation. Continual stressing complete awareness and vigilance during all flight aspects to combat pilot over-confidence.
