Narrative:
We were flying the RNAV 17 missed approach procedure to the hold. ATC advised us that we were supposed to be flying to glara intersection for the missed approach on localizer DME 17. The mis-communications between us and ATC put us south of uao and TRACON told us were we supposed to be east of uao. The confusion between the two missed approach procedures (localizer DME 17 and RNAV 17) for aurora could possibly cause some disastrous situations. We continued to glara without further incident.
