Narrative:

IFR lft to tlh. What was planned was VOR to VOR flight. Clearance received was, 'as filed.' what was filed by computer using commercial link was, 'direct.' called commercial link for product improvement--that any warnings should blink. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter has received no response from commercial computer operation. He started his flight as he had flight planned, was forced by WX to deviate. ATC then notified him the restr area was not clear and gave amended clearance, which was virtually what he originally filed. He feels strongly there should be some indication to alert pilot of any change from computer input. He feels the blinking information would catch the eye.
