Narrative:
Small transport Y, a helicopter, passed level, no more than 200' to our right. We were startled (PF flying in right seat saw other aircraft, PNF in left seat only reacted to PF's action) and no radio call was made to inform us he would be passing. We banked left very quickly because of flicker of rotor blades of small transport Y, but immediately returned to course when it was obvious that there would be no physical contact.
