Narrative:
During cruise; we received an ECAM message stating that pressure in the green hydraulic system was low. We followed the appropriate ECAM actions as directed; and elected to return to ZZZ airport. Other than the loss of ground nosewheel steering associated with the green hydraulic system; the remainder of the flight and landing was routine and uneventful. This was a mechanical/system malfunction. It would be impossible to anticipate again. Proper emergency and checklist procedures as followed will continue to be the best course of action in any future events.
