Narrative:
After student completed left chandelle the engine made puttering noises, resulting in complete engine failure. All avenues of restarting were exhausted including use of checklists, however the engine did not start. The aircraft was placed in an onion field with no damage to te aircraft, passengers on board or the field. The next day a new carburetor was installed and aircraft was flown out of the same field that it was placed in.

Title: GA SMA FORCED LNDG WHEN ENGINE QUIT AT THE COMPLETION OF A CHANDELLE.
Narrative: AFTER STUDENT COMPLETED L CHANDELLE THE ENG MADE PUTTERING NOISES, RESULTING IN COMPLETE ENG FAILURE. ALL AVENUES OF RESTARTING WERE EXHAUSTED INCLUDING USE OF CHKLISTS, HOWEVER THE ENG DID NOT START. THE ACFT WAS PLACED IN AN ONION FIELD WITH NO DAMAGE TO TE ACFT, PAXS ON BOARD OR THE FIELD. THE NEXT DAY A NEW CARBURETOR WAS INSTALLED AND ACFT WAS FLOWN OUT OF THE SAME FIELD THAT IT WAS PLACED IN.
