Narrative:
During descent to ZZZ strong odor entered the cabin mostly when thrust at idle. Clearing during taxing to gate. Made aml entry; maintenance found oil leak in APU and said that's what caused the odor. APU was not running during descent though? When accepting the aircraft one of the flight attendants who had been through a odor event before had noticed the residual from the previous flight and had her self removed; no others including myself felt it was that abnormal. Knowing that smell now I would be more aware and think I would refuse it until the source is know.listen more closely to the concerns of all crew members even if they are the only one.
