Narrative:
In reference to an aircraft medium large transport regarding a special emphasis on trash in the lavs. 4/91, my partner and I concluded the interior inspection of the aft lavs. At the time of our inspection, there was no debris found. At the time we departed the aircraft, there were aircraft cleaners, cleaning the aft lavs. My partner and I proceeded to the office to sign for the inspection that we had completed and then we were going to work off the squawks that were found. Later during our shift the FAA inspected the aircraft and found debris behind one of the trash containers. The following night my partner and I learned that the FAA inspectors pressed the matter and the company held a board of inquiry. My partner and I feel the inspection was complied with in accordance with the a check paperwork. What happens after the particular inspection, with many variables involved, is beyond our control. If we are to reinspect the lavs trash area after cleaning is completed, it should be stated in the a check paperwork.
