Narrative:

Afternoon launch - sort late 90 minutes. My freight recovery specialist; informed me aircraft X blocked even though the ramp notified the crew to wait for new dg (dangerous goods) paperwork. ACARS was sent to the crew to hold; new dg paperwork on the way. I asked the captain to call me on the phone to explain that the current dg paper work indicated no dg however; there was idg (international dangerous goods) onboard and new paperwork is required. We both agreed a block turn back was the best way to handle this situation. Aircraft returned to the blocks for correction of dg paperwork; new release was sent and weight and balance (per captain's request). Ramp agent made a mistake most likely due to high workload/task saturation and work distractions/interruptions. The sort was over 2 hours late and the load teams were overwhelmed. I had at least 4 adhocs with double legs (out and back) and some with 3 legs. This flight was on hold during most of the sort along with other flights; then decisions were made to reroute the adhocs and add legs. There was a lot of confusion and decisions were being made last minute. We are in unprecedented times. Everyone is doing their best. Some of us are better equipped to handle the constant changes and challenges. Errors will be made; I am glad we were able to correct it and move on.
