Narrative:

While transitioning from buckeye to glendale, az, I used a transition procedure that had been recommended in the past. Unknown to me, the unwritten word of mouth procedure had changed, and still another unwritten word of mouth procedure for air traffic area transition was now in use by gyr tower. I certainly entered the gyr air traffic area in my transition, but this had previously been allowed, if in contact with glendale tower and north of I-10, which I was. Gyr tower called glendale tower to get my tail #, then called my flight school and complained about my actions. My boss then corrected me.

Narrative: WHILE TRANSITIONING FROM BUCKEYE TO GLENDALE, AZ, I USED A TRANSITION PROC THAT HAD BEEN RECOMMENDED IN THE PAST. GYR TWR CALLED GLENDALE TWR TO GET MY TAIL #, THEN CALLED MY FLT SCHOOL AND COMPLAINED ABOUT MY ACTIONS. MY BOSS THEN CORRECTED ME.
