Narrative:
A CFI and I were practicing touch and goes on runway 25 at queen city airport in allentown, PA. After I had turned 90 degrees for the left downwind to runway 25, the instrument reduced the power to idle, to simulate an engine out approach. I trimmed for 79 KIAS and set up approach for runway 32 at queen city. We would not have made 25 if we lost our engine. We were very high on short final for 32, so I slipped the aircraft down with full 40 degrees flaps applied, and the gear extender override engaged. After about 1/2 of 32 was left, I began the flare which was subsequently followed by the noise of the propeller hitting the runway. The CFI took over and set up for a landing on runway 7, after climbing out from 32. The landing was uneventful. This could have been avoided by using gumps, with a backup checklist, and by scanning the panel better. Even though the CFI is PIC, I am responsible.
