Narrative:
Rejected takeoff due to east and east access door EICAS message caution. The EICAS message was displayed at approximately 100 KIAS. I informed the captain of this message. After a very brief hesitancy on his part to recognize the meaning of the message, the captain (PF) elected to discontinue the takeoff. The reject occurred at 125 KIAS and all rtd systems performed admirably. V1 was computed at 131 KTS. We returned to the ramp for maintenance. The EICAS message was still displayed. Upon inspection, maintenance opened and closed the east & east access door. In turn, maintenance informed the crew a piece of door seal had impinged on the door switches. After consulting the brake energy chart and waiting the appropriate time, we taxied for an uneventful takeoff. The decision to reject was proper. Examination of appropriate abnormal procedures revealed the possibility the aircraft would not pressurize. Flight above 1000' MSL would not be possible with passenger aboard. It should be noted maintenance was performed on the aircraft prior to release. The east & east access door was open during this maintenance. Greater care should be given to closing flight critical doors.

Title: 2 ENGINE WDB ACFT HAD EICAS MESSAGE FLASH ON TKOF. CAPT ELECTED TO ABORT AND RETURN TO GATE FOR MAINT. PIECE OF DOOR SEAL HAD IMPINGED ON DOOR LATCH.
Narrative: REJECTED TKOF DUE TO E AND E ACCESS DOOR EICAS MESSAGE CAUTION. THE EICAS MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED AT APPROX 100 KIAS. I INFORMED THE CAPT OF THIS MESSAGE. AFTER A VERY BRIEF HESITANCY ON HIS PART TO RECOGNIZE THE MEANING OF THE MESSAGE, THE CAPT (PF) ELECTED TO DISCONTINUE THE TKOF. THE REJECT OCCURRED AT 125 KIAS AND ALL RTD SYSTEMS PERFORMED ADMIRABLY. V1 WAS COMPUTED AT 131 KTS. WE RETURNED TO THE RAMP FOR MAINT. THE EICAS MESSAGE WAS STILL DISPLAYED. UPON INSPECTION, MAINT OPENED AND CLOSED THE E & E ACCESS DOOR. IN TURN, MAINT INFORMED THE CREW A PIECE OF DOOR SEAL HAD IMPINGED ON THE DOOR SWITCHES. AFTER CONSULTING THE BRAKE ENERGY CHART AND WAITING THE APPROPRIATE TIME, WE TAXIED FOR AN UNEVENTFUL TKOF. THE DECISION TO REJECT WAS PROPER. EXAMINATION OF APPROPRIATE ABNORMAL PROCS REVEALED THE POSSIBILITY THE ACFT WOULD NOT PRESSURIZE. FLT ABOVE 1000' MSL WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITH PAX ABOARD. IT SHOULD BE NOTED MAINT WAS PERFORMED ON THE ACFT PRIOR TO RELEASE. THE E & E ACCESS DOOR WAS OPEN DURING THIS MAINT. GREATER CARE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CLOSING FLT CRITICAL DOORS.
