Narrative:

On 6/sun/91, at approximately XXXX local time on the parking ramp at jfk, an light transport made contact with a company owned pickup truck. The captain of the aircraft had started the right engine and had asked the ramp personnel to remove a ground power unit. The ramp agent was being assisted by another agent in a pickup truck to remove the gpu. The truck parked perpendicular to the aircraft just below the nose. The captain, after seeing gpu indications in the cockpit showing disconnection, signaled the agent to start the left engine. After starting the engine and completing the after start checklist, the captain flashed the landing lights to begin taxiing and released the parking brake. The aircraft began to roll forward and after rolling approximately 1', the aircraft struck the pickup truck that was still parked under the nose of the aircraft.

Title: ACR COMMUTER HITS PICKUP TRUCK PARKED OUT OF SIGHT UNDER NOSE OF ACFT.

Narrative: ON 6/SUN/91, AT APPROX XXXX LCL TIME ON THE PARKING RAMP AT JFK, AN LTT MADE CONTACT WITH A COMPANY OWNED PICKUP TRUCK. THE CAPT OF THE ACFT HAD STARTED THE RIGHT ENG AND HAD ASKED THE RAMP PERSONNEL TO REMOVE A GND PWR UNIT. THE RAMP AGENT WAS BEING ASSISTED BY ANOTHER AGENT IN A PICKUP TRUCK TO REMOVE THE GPU. THE TRUCK PARKED PERPENDICULAR TO THE ACFT JUST BELOW THE NOSE. THE CAPT, AFTER SEEING GPU INDICATIONS IN THE COCKPIT SHOWING DISCONNECTION, SIGNALED THE AGENT TO START THE LEFT ENG. AFTER STARTING THE ENG AND COMPLETING THE AFTER START CHKLIST, THE CAPT FLASHED THE LNDG LIGHTS TO BEGIN TAXIING AND RELEASED THE PARKING BRAKE. THE ACFT BEGAN TO ROLL FORWARD AND AFTER ROLLING APPROX 1', THE ACFT STRUCK THE PICKUP TRUCK THAT WAS STILL PARKED UNDER THE NOSE OF THE ACFT.
