Narrative:

An unscheduled landing made because of very ill passenger. Head stewardess told to have service stopped and cabin secured as soon as possible. Every minute counted as passenger condition getting worse. F/east told to start dumping fuel, aircraft now off arwy in a remote area, VFR, no other aircraft on radar, TCAS, etc. Fuel dump was stopped after a short time because it was determined to be unnecessary. ATC was not notified of fuel dump because it was over before crew found time to talk. Aircraft was descending, checklists being accomplished, #2 radio being used to relay information about patient, etc. ATC was cooperative in giving descent and landing clrncs. This report probably would not be written except the pilot believes a report may have been written by the dispatchers suggesting some errors were committed during this operation. The dispatchers are in a dispute with company management and the pilots are caught in the middle. The dispatchers were angry because they were not called directly from the aircraft and a discussion held about the diversion of the aircraft, etc. When the crew called the station to ask for an ambulance and doctor, they also requested the company be notified. The ground agent, meaning well, in his haste to be helpful apparently called crew schedule instead of dispatch. The dispatchers felt they should have been called first. Communications in this area through arinc sometimes don't work and are difficult at best. The captain and his crew were concerned with a safe landing and the condition of the ill passenger and the safety and comfort of the remaining passenger and crew.

Title: ACR DIVERTS DUE TO PASSENGER ILLNESS. DUMPS FUEL.

Narrative: AN UNSCHEDULED LNDG MADE BECAUSE OF VERY ILL PAX. HEAD STEWARDESS TOLD TO HAVE SVC STOPPED AND CABIN SECURED ASAP. EVERY MINUTE COUNTED AS PAX CONDITION GETTING WORSE. F/E TOLD TO START DUMPING FUEL, ACFT NOW OFF ARWY IN A REMOTE AREA, VFR, NO OTHER ACFT ON RADAR, TCAS, ETC. FUEL DUMP WAS STOPPED AFTER A SHORT TIME BECAUSE IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE UNNECESSARY. ATC WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF FUEL DUMP BECAUSE IT WAS OVER BEFORE CREW FOUND TIME TO TALK. ACFT WAS DSNDING, CHKLISTS BEING ACCOMPLISHED, #2 RADIO BEING USED TO RELAY INFO ABOUT PATIENT, ETC. ATC WAS COOPERATIVE IN GIVING DSNT AND LNDG CLRNCS. THIS RPT PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE WRITTEN EXCEPT THE PLT BELIEVES A RPT MAY HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY THE DISPATCHERS SUGGESTING SOME ERRORS WERE COMMITTED DURING THIS OPERATION. THE DISPATCHERS ARE IN A DISPUTE WITH COMPANY MGMNT AND THE PLTS ARE CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE. THE DISPATCHERS WERE ANGRY BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT CALLED DIRECTLY FROM THE ACFT AND A DISCUSSION HELD ABOUT THE DIVERSION OF THE ACFT, ETC. WHEN THE CREW CALLED THE STATION TO ASK FOR AN AMBULANCE AND DOCTOR, THEY ALSO REQUESTED THE COMPANY BE NOTIFIED. THE GND AGENT, MEANING WELL, IN HIS HASTE TO BE HELPFUL APPARENTLY CALLED CREW SCHEDULE INSTEAD OF DISPATCH. THE DISPATCHERS FELT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED FIRST. COMS IN THIS AREA THROUGH ARINC SOMETIMES DON'T WORK AND ARE DIFFICULT AT BEST. THE CAPT AND HIS CREW WERE CONCERNED WITH A SAFE LNDG AND THE CONDITION OF THE ILL PAX AND THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF THE REMAINING PAX AND CREW.
