Narrative:
Received a TCAS RA alert monitor vertical speed followed by climb, climb. The aircraft was at FL290 and we deviated to FL298 traffic was observed as a TA originally. Position was 40 NM west of tlh. ATC was advised of our deviation and we did not get an acknowledgement until after our climb and after calling ATC again. We never saw the conflict aircraft. 10 mins later ATC advised deviation had been filed. ATC frequency at time of incident jax 128.07.

Title: TCASII RA DICTATED ALT EXCURSION AT FL290, CLBED TO FL298.
Narrative: RECEIVED A TCAS RA ALERT MONITOR VERT SPD FOLLOWED BY CLB, CLB. THE ACFT WAS AT FL290 AND WE DEVIATED TO FL298 TFC WAS OBSERVED AS A TA ORIGINALLY. POS WAS 40 NM W OF TLH. ATC WAS ADVISED OF OUR DEV AND WE DID NOT GET AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT UNTIL AFTER OUR CLB AND AFTER CALLING ATC AGAIN. WE NEVER SAW THE CONFLICT ACFT. 10 MINS LATER ATC ADVISED DEV HAD BEEN FILED.
