Narrative:
We asked for a runway 12 departure in bermuda because of isolated circuit breaker's. We asked for a straight out departure. Shortly after takeoff controller demanded us to turn into circuit breaker's we were trying to avoid. We finally got the controller to let us deviation but in the process got a lightning/static discharge strike. Very poor ATC procedures in bermuda. Have had problems in past during inclement WX periods because controllers do not understand civilian terms.
