Narrative:

The widebody transport is new to me. On my third trip in the aircraft since initial line check out, during descent phase of the flight into lax basin, I somehow deselected the assigned lax center frequency and went for 3 or 4 mins on the wrong frequency. When back on correct frequency ATC required a 360 degree descending turn to get us back in sequence. No conflict so far as I know. The radio management panel on the widebody transport is complex and very easy to mess up. Not a good decision.
