Narrative:
I was acting as first officer on an international flight from jpcc to panc. Due to the length of the leg and a heavy cargo load we were faced with a maximum gross takeoff weight. The captain had reviewed the runway analysis and determined conditions were correct for takeoff. The captain concerned with a heavy takeoff, had also rereviewed the load plan. After some changes to it he supplied me with the weights and runway analysis figures to put on the weight and balance. Since we also must add 701 pounds of comat to all forms, I assumed the captain had allowed for it in his figures. After departure and reviewing trip papers to turn in, I noticed the comat did not appear to have been added. It's my belief we may have departed overweight by approximately the comat weight. To prevent this, the comat (spare parts kit) should be added to aircraft basic operating weight as crew, manuals flight kits, etc are.

SINCE WE ALSO MUST ADD 701 POUNDS OF COMAT TO ALL FORMS, I ASSUMED THE CAPT HAD ALLOWED FOR IT IN HIS FIGURES. AFTER DEP AND REVIEWING TRIP PAPERS TO TURN IN, I NOTICED THE COMAT DID NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN ADDED. IT'S MY BELIEF WE MAY HAVE DEPARTED OVERWT BY APPROX THE COMAT WT. TO PREVENT THIS, THE COMAT (SPARE PARTS KIT) SHOULD BE ADDED TO ACFT BASIC OPERATING WT AS CREW, MANUALS FLT KITS, ETC ARE.
