Narrative:
Incident occurred after landing the aircraft and taxiing off of active runway 24 at bridgeport. Aircraft did not seem to turn adequately, and slipped off of the paved taxiway and onto the grass. (Nose wheel only). In the process, the propeller broke the lens and bulb on a taxiway light. It didn't seem like the aircraft was moving too quickly, the brake did not seem to be tightening the turn. My perceptions are (considering that the brakes on the aircraft are in good condition and functional) that I may have not had my foot in a good position to have both full brake and rudder pedal travel. Supplemental information from acn 187660. No significant damage to propeller or airplane.
