Narrative:

Small aircraft X was issued clearance to land on runway 7L by local controller. I was working ground. I heard small aircraft Y on my taxiway alert the local controller that small aircraft X was about to land on taxiway a. Go around instructions were issued in landing flare. Approximately 60 known aircraft have landed on this taxiway in the last 18 months. The airport manager has determined that additional marking is unnecessary. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated there have been 2 more unauthorized taxiway lndgs since he filed this report. On 1 occasion, an aircraft had to leave the taxiway to avoid collision. This situation has been reported to facility management, airports division western pacific region, and city airport manager with no action on any of their parts. The airport management did repaint the runway numbers.

Title: SMA X ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON TAXIWAY HAD CONFLICT WITH SMA Y. SITUATION TAXIWAY A AT DVT HAS BEEN MISTAKEN FOR RWY 7L. TAXIWAY NEEDS ADDITIONAL MARKINGS.

Narrative: SMA X WAS ISSUED CLRNC TO LAND ON RWY 7L BY LCL CTLR. I WAS WORKING GND. I HEARD SMA Y ON MY TAXIWAY ALERT THE LCL CTLR THAT SMA X WAS ABOUT TO LAND ON TAXIWAY A. GAR INSTRUCTIONS WERE ISSUED IN LNDG FLARE. APPROX 60 KNOWN ACFT HAVE LANDED ON THIS TAXIWAY IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS. THE ARPT MGR HAS DETERMINED THAT ADDITIONAL MARKING IS UNNECESSARY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THERE HAVE BEEN 2 MORE UNAUTHORIZED TAXIWAY LNDGS SINCE HE FILED THIS RPT. ON 1 OCCASION, AN ACFT HAD TO LEAVE THE TAXIWAY TO AVOID COLLISION. THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN RPTED TO FACILITY MGMNT, ARPTS DIVISION WESTERN PACIFIC REGION, AND CITY ARPT MGR WITH NO ACTION ON ANY OF THEIR PARTS. THE ARPT MGMNT DID REPAINT THE RWY NUMBERS.
