Narrative:
Through other people I have learned that an FAA representative observed a takeoff/departure I made at cew and had felt that it was unsafe. I received an advisory from FSS and observed that there was no traffic in the area. I departed runway 35 at bob sikes airport from the second intersection. I rotated climbed to about 50 ft retracted the gear and flaps. Climbed an additional 50 ft and turned into a 45 degree bank to heading 060 degree still climbing at vx. Upon rolling out of the turn I observed a hawk about 50 yards ahead. I lowered the nose slightly and then abruptly to miss the bird. After passing the bird I resumed a climb attitude at vy. I don't feel the aircraft was operated dangerously at any point during this departure; however, due to the opinion of the FAA representative, I felt it necessary to file this report.

Title: SMA CARGO OP OBSERVED BY FAA IN ALLEGED UNSAFE DEP.
Narrative: THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE I HAVE LEARNED THAT AN FAA REPRESENTATIVE OBSERVED A TKOF/DEP I MADE AT CEW AND HAD FELT THAT IT WAS UNSAFE. I RECEIVED AN ADVISORY FROM FSS AND OBSERVED THAT THERE WAS NO TFC IN THE AREA. I DEPARTED RWY 35 AT BOB SIKES ARPT FROM THE SECOND INTXN. I ROTATED CLBED TO ABOUT 50 FT RETRACTED THE GEAR AND FLAPS. CLBED AN ADDITIONAL 50 FT AND TURNED INTO A 45 DEG BANK TO HDG 060 DEG STILL CLBING AT VX. UPON ROLLING OUT OF THE TURN I OBSERVED A HAWK ABOUT 50 YARDS AHEAD. I LOWERED THE NOSE SLIGHTLY AND THEN ABRUPTLY TO MISS THE BIRD. AFTER PASSING THE BIRD I RESUMED A CLB ATTITUDE AT VY. I DON'T FEEL THE ACFT WAS OPERATED DANGEROUSLY AT ANY POINT DURING THIS DEP; HOWEVER, DUE TO THE OPINION OF THE FAA REPRESENTATIVE, I FELT IT NECESSARY TO FILE THIS RPT.
