Narrative:
Approached airport (A04) from east. Reported 15 mi out, 10 mi out, no answer from anyone on runway in use. Made proper traffic reports and landed on runway 09. Airport has no taxiway. Winds calm. Decided to takeoff on 27 to avoid back taxi and for safety (while in pattern at A04, noticed crop duster dusting fields off the departure end of runway 09). When I reached the end of runway 09, started to turn around for departure on runway 27. Noticed crop duster in a steep turn on what appeared to be a low and close left base for runway 27. Pilot of crop duster must have seen me because I noticed the aircraft climb slightly and land long. No response from him after trying radio contact. There is a place at the end of the runway 09 to taxi off to the side, however, I was on the runway and had been announcing my intentions periodically. I was on a cross country from ryy and all indications from ryy and in-flight and return to ryy indicated that my radios are/were working properly. At A04, radio communication not required, but pilot of crop duster should have gone around. I never talked to him, he may have been low on fuel or other problems. Always be on the lookout, especially where radios not required and no taxiway to wait on as a 'safety zone.'
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLT OF CROP DUSTER LANDED OVER TOP OF HOLDING SMA ACFT AT END OF RWY.
Narrative: APCHED ARPT (A04) FROM E. RPTED 15 MI OUT, 10 MI OUT, NO ANSWER FROM ANYONE ON RWY IN USE. MADE PROPER TFC RPTS AND LANDED ON RWY 09. ARPT HAS NO TAXIWAY. WINDS CALM. DECIDED TO TKOF ON 27 TO AVOID BACK TAXI AND FOR SAFETY (WHILE IN PATTERN AT A04, NOTICED CROP DUSTER DUSTING FIELDS OFF THE DEP END OF RWY 09). WHEN I REACHED THE END OF RWY 09, STARTED TO TURN AROUND FOR DEP ON RWY 27. NOTICED CROP DUSTER IN A STEEP TURN ON WHAT APPEARED TO BE A LOW AND CLOSE L BASE FOR RWY 27. PLT OF CROP DUSTER MUST HAVE SEEN ME BECAUSE I NOTICED THE ACFT CLB SLIGHTLY AND LAND LONG. NO RESPONSE FROM HIM AFTER TRYING RADIO CONTACT. THERE IS A PLACE AT THE END OF THE RWY 09 TO TAXI OFF TO THE SIDE, HOWEVER, I WAS ON THE RWY AND HAD BEEN ANNOUNCING MY INTENTIONS PERIODICALLY. I WAS ON A XCOUNTRY FROM RYY AND ALL INDICATIONS FROM RYY AND INFLT AND RETURN TO RYY INDICATED THAT MY RADIOS ARE/WERE WORKING PROPERLY. AT A04, RADIO COM NOT REQUIRED, BUT PLT OF CROP DUSTER SHOULD HAVE GONE AROUND. I NEVER TALKED TO HIM, HE MAY HAVE BEEN LOW ON FUEL OR OTHER PROBLEMS. ALWAYS BE ON THE LOOKOUT, ESPECIALLY WHERE RADIOS NOT REQUIRED AND NO TAXIWAY TO WAIT ON AS A 'SAFETY ZONE.'
