Narrative:
During the approach I was distracted by the failure of the autoplt to track the back course of the localizer. I allowed the aircraft to reach the extreme left side of the localizer course. The controller and I recognized this problem at the same time and course correction was initiated.

Title: LOC BACK COURSE APCH. AUTOPLT FAIL. HDG DEV.
Narrative: DURING THE APCH I WAS DISTRACTED BY THE FAILURE OF THE AUTOPLT TO TRACK THE BACK COURSE OF THE LOC. I ALLOWED THE ACFT TO REACH THE EXTREME L SIDE OF THE LOC COURSE. THE CTLR AND I RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM AT THE SAME TIME AND COURSE CORRECTION WAS INITIATED.
