Narrative:

I was giving rides at an air show. Prior to doing so, I made sure to research the FARS for any special rules. I could find none. During the time I was giving rides an FAA representative told me I was in violation of a regulation that says I have to have a roped off area of at least 100 ft by 100 ft. Rather than question him as to the source, I shut down and remedied the problem. I can certainly agree with his reasoning of safety. I would like to know if such a regulation does in fact exist. If so a) where is it? B) my suggestion would be to make it known more readily to pilots and air show personnel. I was not cited (at least not yet). After the occurrence, I talked it over with the air show personnel and no one seemed to have any information on the subject as well. Please advise me.
