Narrative:

The flight was a VFR pleasure flight from tyr to dto. 1 hour into the flight the need for restroom facilities became urgent. As I was approaching lakeview (edf) airport I noticed a new, appearing, isolated airstrip not on the charts and with no X on runway. It seemed a good choice to solve my restroom problem. Upon landing I was met by a car with security guards taking my name, address, aircraft identify number, informing me I had erred. No person or property was endangered. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he has since found out that the city of fresco began airport construction, completed runway and some roads then halted further construction. No markings of closed runway. Security people blocked runway front and behind. He gave the information requested and got out in a hurry. He felt they might be drug people.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES HE HAS SINCE FOUND OUT THAT THE CITY OF FRESCO BEGAN ARPT CONSTRUCTION, COMPLETED RWY AND SOME ROADS THEN HALTED FURTHER CONSTRUCTION. NO MARKINGS OF CLOSED RWY. SECURITY PEOPLE BLOCKED RWY FRONT AND BEHIND. HE GAVE THE INFO REQUESTED AND GOT OUT IN A HURRY. HE FELT THEY MIGHT BE DRUG PEOPLE.
