Narrative:
Light transport departed dca en route to bwi climbing to 4000. At 5 DME south of dca he was given a left turn direct to bwi. He passed over adw air force base at 4000 en route to bwi. During this period adw had a special airspace restriction in effect. A 5 mi radius of the airport up to 15000, however there was no information regarding this restr area posted at the position or at the status information area regarding when it would start or terminate. Consequently the light transport was inadvertently allowed to enter the restr area while it was in use. Had more effort been taken to remind the controller of this special use restriction during a very busy traffic, perhaps this deviation could have been avoided.

Title: DEP CTLR CLRED LTT ON DIRECT RTE DCA TO BWI THROUGH TEMPORARY RESTRICTED AREA OVER ADW.
Narrative: LTT DEPARTED DCA ENRTE TO BWI CLBING TO 4000. AT 5 DME S OF DCA HE WAS GIVEN A L TURN DIRECT TO BWI. HE PASSED OVER ADW AIR FORCE BASE AT 4000 ENRTE TO BWI. DURING THIS PERIOD ADW HAD A SPECIAL AIRSPACE RESTRICTION IN EFFECT. A 5 MI RADIUS OF THE ARPT UP TO 15000, HOWEVER THERE WAS NO INFO REGARDING THIS RESTR AREA POSTED AT THE POS OR AT THE STATUS INFO AREA REGARDING WHEN IT WOULD START OR TERMINATE. CONSEQUENTLY THE LTT WAS INADVERTENTLY ALLOWED TO ENTER THE RESTR AREA WHILE IT WAS IN USE. HAD MORE EFFORT BEEN TAKEN TO REMIND THE CTLR OF THIS SPECIAL USE RESTRICTION DURING A VERY BUSY TFC, PERHAPS THIS DEV COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
