Narrative:
Departed dallas love on an IFR flight plan northbound, was assigned 4000. Shortly after my level off, departure called and asked for airspeed. It was at 205 KTS, 5 KTS over the speed limit beneath the TCA. Had I been more conscious of my duties inside instead of looking outside for traffic which is as equally important, this could have been prevented.
