Narrative:
Flight departed iah for efd on 10/91. Because of late changing px and bay counts, the weight and balance was recalculated 3 different times requiring the original form to be discarded and a new one reaccomplished. The wrong min/maximum column was used to calculate the allowable aft cargo load resulting in an excess of 42 pounds in the cargo compartment. This caused an out of cg condition that should have been corrected by blocking an aft seat. This situation occurred because of numerous late passenger, bag count changes, requiring a number of recalculations. Not accepting further changes after the F/T is closed out would help alleviate errors of this kind. Returning the weight and balance calculations to dispatch and taking it out of the cramped cockpit would also help.

Title: COMMUTER LTT TAKES OFF WITH ACFT OUT OF PROPER CG LIMITS DUE TO MISCALCULATION BY FO DURING WT AND BAL COMPUTATIONS FROM LATEST WT MANIFEST AND PAX INFO COUNT.
Narrative: FLT DEPARTED IAH FOR EFD ON 10/91. BECAUSE OF LATE CHANGING PX AND BAY COUNTS, THE WT AND BAL WAS RECALCULATED 3 DIFFERENT TIMES REQUIRING THE ORIGINAL FORM TO BE DISCARDED AND A NEW ONE REACCOMPLISHED. THE WRONG MIN/MAX COLUMN WAS USED TO CALCULATE THE ALLOWABLE AFT CARGO LOAD RESULTING IN AN EXCESS OF 42 POUNDS IN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT. THIS CAUSED AN OUT OF CG CONDITION THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED BY BLOCKING AN AFT SEAT. THIS SITUATION OCCURRED BECAUSE OF NUMEROUS LATE PAX, BAG COUNT CHANGES, REQUIRING A NUMBER OF RECALCULATIONS. NOT ACCEPTING FURTHER CHANGES AFTER THE F/T IS CLOSED OUT WOULD HELP ALLEVIATE ERRORS OF THIS KIND. RETURNING THE WT AND BAL CALCULATIONS TO DISPATCH AND TAKING IT OUT OF THE CRAMPED COCKPIT WOULD ALSO HELP.
