Narrative:
Climbing out of fxe, as we passed through 7000 ft on the way to 16500 ft an heavy transport reported a near miss involving our aircraft. I saw the heavy transport and he was a very safe distance from our aircraft. I felt no action was warranted at the time. We departed fxe due east. This did fly us across the arrival into fll, mia area airports. We always kept our eyes outside, because we knew we were in busy airspace. Also, we departed fxe VFR. When we called for our clearance, tower, said they had lost it or rather they had no record of it. So they recommended after they rechked for it that we depart VFR and file with mia radio after departure. We did so. This problem could have been avoided or rather we would have had less workload if we had a clearance before we departed. We would have had more time to dedicate 100 percent of our time to only flying the aircraft.

Title: PLT OF HVT IFR CLAIMS NMAC WITH SMT JET VFR.
Narrative: CLBING OUT OF FXE, AS WE PASSED THROUGH 7000 FT ON THE WAY TO 16500 FT AN HVT RPTED A NEAR MISS INVOLVING OUR ACFT. I SAW THE HVT AND HE WAS A VERY SAFE DISTANCE FROM OUR ACFT. I FELT NO ACTION WAS WARRANTED AT THE TIME. WE DEPARTED FXE DUE E. THIS DID FLY US ACROSS THE ARR INTO FLL, MIA AREA ARPTS. WE ALWAYS KEPT OUR EYES OUTSIDE, BECAUSE WE KNEW WE WERE IN BUSY AIRSPACE. ALSO, WE DEPARTED FXE VFR. WHEN WE CALLED FOR OUR CLRNC, TWR, SAID THEY HAD LOST IT OR RATHER THEY HAD NO RECORD OF IT. SO THEY RECOMMENDED AFTER THEY RECHKED FOR IT THAT WE DEPART VFR AND FILE WITH MIA RADIO AFTER DEP. WE DID SO. THIS PROBLEM COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED OR RATHER WE WOULD HAVE HAD LESS WORKLOAD IF WE HAD A CLRNC BEFORE WE DEPARTED. WE WOULD HAVE HAD MORE TIME TO DEDICATE 100 PERCENT OF OUR TIME TO ONLY FLYING THE ACFT.
