Narrative:

I researched problem of EICAS message 'left rev isolation valve.' having thoroughly researched problem with no history I decided it could be an electric 'spike glitch' like the problem spelled out in the fim manual. A time element is at play because of through flight times. I also encountered problems at other gates with other aircraft that called for my attention. I decided 'at gear retraction' it could be a glitch problem so I checked everything on left engine. All okay. Now I operated both left and right engine reversers and performed 'operations test per the large transport maintenance manual.' in the logbook I wrote 'operations checks normal per fim' by mistake while thinking about the fim manual because I was busy checking another aircraft problem out at the same time. Aircraft did fly safely to destination. I do realize I should take a little more time while making an entry in a logbook and to be very careful with each word written in the future. I will remember in the future no matter how busy it gets take 1 aircraft at a time and pay attention to paperwork and to the problem related to that aircraft. Logbook should have been written 'operations checks normal per maintenance manual.' by mistake it was written 'operations checks normal per fim.'

Title: MECH USED THE WRONG TERMINOLOGY IN ACFT LOGBOOK AFTER CLRING AN ITEM NOTED IN THE ACFT FIM.

Narrative: I RESEARCHED PROBLEM OF EICAS MESSAGE 'L REV ISOLATION VALVE.' HAVING THOROUGHLY RESEARCHED PROBLEM WITH NO HISTORY I DECIDED IT COULD BE AN ELECTRIC 'SPIKE GLITCH' LIKE THE PROBLEM SPELLED OUT IN THE FIM MANUAL. A TIME ELEMENT IS AT PLAY BECAUSE OF THROUGH FLT TIMES. I ALSO ENCOUNTERED PROBLEMS AT OTHER GATES WITH OTHER ACFT THAT CALLED FOR MY ATTN. I DECIDED 'AT GEAR RETRACTION' IT COULD BE A GLITCH PROBLEM SO I CHKED EVERYTHING ON L ENG. ALL OKAY. NOW I OPERATED BOTH L AND R ENG REVERSERS AND PERFORMED 'OPS TEST PER THE LGT MAINT MANUAL.' IN THE LOGBOOK I WROTE 'OPS CHKS NORMAL PER FIM' BY MISTAKE WHILE THINKING ABOUT THE FIM MANUAL BECAUSE I WAS BUSY CHKING ANOTHER ACFT PROBLEM OUT AT THE SAME TIME. ACFT DID FLY SAFELY TO DEST. I DO REALIZE I SHOULD TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME WHILE MAKING AN ENTRY IN A LOGBOOK AND TO BE VERY CAREFUL WITH EACH WORD WRITTEN IN THE FUTURE. I WILL REMEMBER IN THE FUTURE NO MATTER HOW BUSY IT GETS TAKE 1 ACFT AT A TIME AND PAY ATTN TO PAPERWORK AND TO THE PROBLEM RELATED TO THAT ACFT. LOGBOOK SHOULD HAVE BEEN WRITTEN 'OPS CHKS NORMAL PER MAINT MANUAL.' BY MISTAKE IT WAS WRITTEN 'OPS CHKS NORMAL PER FIM.'
