Narrative:

Aircraft climbing through FL310 for FL350 noticed forward left windscreen arcing. Accomplished abnormal checklist and while doing the checklist got a loud pop followed by a vertical crack appearing, which was followed by 3 more cracks. All of the cracks were located in the right half of captain windscreen. Requested and received lower altitude and requested to proceed to orf for landing. No emergency equipment was requested, but we did take priority handling. All abnormal and normal checklist were accomplished as well as advising flight attendant to prepare for a possible rapid decompression. Landing was made on orf without further incident. I feel that a precautionary landing in orf was the best course of action.
