Narrative:
I was on a solo cross country from melbourne to okeechobee to witham. Everything was fine, made it to okeechobee then headed toward witham. I was looking for my first check point and felt it should be around somewhere. Found what I thought was my first check point, but really wasn't. Ended up going too far north, saw the airport I thought was the airport I wanted to be at (witham). The airport was in fact st lucie. Called up witham said to transition over, but actually I transitioned over (15 1500 ft) st lucie. Came up on vero beach, called st lucie to transition over. Came up to sebastian (uncontrolled) began to call vero beach, then received what I thought was vero beach, was really sebastian. Cancelled my transition over and continued flying home, realizing my complete mistake was missing witham in the first place.
