Narrative:
We started the #1 (left) engine at the gate. The single engine taxi checklist was completed. Taxi clearance was received from ground control. Company personnel gave hand signals to taxi. The captain advanced the left throttle to taxi off the gate. Once the aircraft began to move in the turn away from the gate, the left throttle was reduced to idle. Standard operating procedures were followed. We continued on our way to clt. We were notified, at our respective homes, that same afternoon by our alpa safety representative that 1 of the ind ground personnel was injured by a door closing on his hand caused by jet blast from our single engine taxi.
