Narrative:
Near somto intersection at 11000 ft, controller reported VFR traffic at 10500 ft. TCASII alarmed and showed traffic 400 ft below our altitude and commanded climb. Initiated climb to assure 500 ft separation. Exceeded assigned altitude 200-300 ft. Returned to 11000 ft after conflict cleared.
