Narrative:

Jan/xx/92, while working salt lake ARTCC sector 16, an airmet was delivered to the sector and broadcast. 10 mins later a pilot questioned the specifics of the airmet, which had encompassed the western united states, after he had talked to flight watch and been told only of icing in nv and ca. When we asked for a copy of the associated WX that the airmet was based on we were informed that it was unavailable except on the mwp WX briefing terminal, and controllers are not allowed to use this equipment due to not being certified or trained on this equipment.
