Narrative:
On takeoff from cvg at 150 ft the PNF raised the landing gear lever and heard a loud unusual noise coming from the nose gear area. He immediately replaced the gear lever to the down position and noted 3 green gear down and locked lights with a red door light. At this time the unusual noises could still be heard. We notified cvg tower and requested a fly by so they could visually inspect the gear. At this time the captain and so completed the checklist for the abnormal. The fly by revealed the aircraft was missing the left forward nose gear door and everything else appeared normal. An uneventful landing was made at cvg.
