Narrative:
Engine ran rough then quit. I lowered the nose cancelled IFR and turned toward nearest airport. I then was able to restart the engine, so I did not declare an emergency. Tower cleared me to land runway 12 sacramento executive. On short final I was too high. I then requested runway 20. ATC then told me to do a 360 degree turn to the left. I feared that the engine might quit so I told them unable to comply. They then had an small aircraft go around and cleared me to land runway 20.

Title: SMA GOV PLT EXPERIENCES ENG STOPPAGE AND LANDS AT NEAREST ARPT AFTER RESTARTING ENG. NO EMER WAS DECLARED TO TRACON OR TWR.
Narrative: ENG RAN ROUGH THEN QUIT. I LOWERED THE NOSE CANCELLED IFR AND TURNED TOWARD NEAREST ARPT. I THEN WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENG, SO I DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER. TWR CLRED ME TO LAND RWY 12 SACRAMENTO EXECUTIVE. ON SHORT FINAL I WAS TOO HIGH. I THEN REQUESTED RWY 20. ATC THEN TOLD ME TO DO A 360 DEG TURN TO THE L. I FEARED THAT THE ENG MIGHT QUIT SO I TOLD THEM UNABLE TO COMPLY. THEY THEN HAD AN SMA GAR AND CLRED ME TO LAND RWY 20.
