Narrative:

Immediately after takeoff (approximately 300 ft) the engine began to lose RPM's. After ensuring full throttle and mixture settings I started a gentle turn to the left for a landing in a suitable field. Before takeoff I had completed a full preflight check of the aircraft. This check included a review of the full quantity and quality. While fuel quantity was low, both tanks had plenty of fuel to make my destination. I was heading to TO2 to top off tanks for an up coming flight lesson. All fuel samples were free of contaminates. After lndgs the tanks were checked, the right tank had the same quantity as before takeoff while the left tank showed no fuel. Fuel samples were obtained from both tanks and showed no contaminants. It is my belief that the fuel line from the right tank was clogged and the plane was flying on only the left tank. No damage to the aircraft or injuries to the sole occupant.

Title: IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF SMA HAS ENG FAILURE. EMER LNDG.

Narrative: IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF (APPROX 300 FT) THE ENG BEGAN TO LOSE RPM'S. AFTER ENSURING FULL THROTTLE AND MIXTURE SETTINGS I STARTED A GENTLE TURN TO THE L FOR A LNDG IN A SUITABLE FIELD. BEFORE TKOF I HAD COMPLETED A FULL PREFLT CHK OF THE ACFT. THIS CHK INCLUDED A REVIEW OF THE FULL QUANTITY AND QUALITY. WHILE FUEL QUANTITY WAS LOW, BOTH TANKS HAD PLENTY OF FUEL TO MAKE MY DEST. I WAS HDG TO TO2 TO TOP OFF TANKS FOR AN UP COMING FLT LESSON. ALL FUEL SAMPLES WERE FREE OF CONTAMINATES. AFTER LNDGS THE TANKS WERE CHKED, THE R TANK HAD THE SAME QUANTITY AS BEFORE TKOF WHILE THE L TANK SHOWED NO FUEL. FUEL SAMPLES WERE OBTAINED FROM BOTH TANKS AND SHOWED NO CONTAMINANTS. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THE FUEL LINE FROM THE R TANK WAS CLOGGED AND THE PLANE WAS FLYING ON ONLY THE L TANK. NO DAMAGE TO THE ACFT OR INJURIES TO THE SOLE OCCUPANT.
