Narrative:

I was working local control. Small aircraft X touch and go on runway 36. Air carrier Y sequenced to follow touch and go small aircraft X. Air carrier Y cut in too close. I told small aircraft X to side-step the runway (to be sure separation was maintained). However, I used the incorrect call sign for the small aircraft X. After no reply and non compliance, I realized I had used the wrong call sign. At this point, there was 6000 ft between the 2 aircraft anyway, so air carrier Y was cleared to land. No loss of separation occurred.
