Narrative:
Due to a faulty copilot microphone switch which grounded out aircraft's radios, we copied the wrong altitude coming out of atlanta, in VFR conditions. Returned to correct altitude when instructed to do so by ATC. Copilot microphone switch replaced on completion of flight.

Title: CPR SMT ON DEP FROM ATL EXPERIENCES STUCK MICROPHONE AND ALT OVERSHOOT ON CLB.
Narrative: DUE TO A FAULTY COPLT MICROPHONE SWITCH WHICH GNDED OUT ACFT'S RADIOS, WE COPIED THE WRONG ALT COMING OUT OF ATLANTA, IN VFR CONDITIONS. RETURNED TO CORRECT ALT WHEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY ATC. COPLT MICROPHONE SWITCH REPLACED ON COMPLETION OF FLT.
