Narrative:

I was returning at night on a part 135 cargo run, ceiling was unlimited but visibility right at the surface was going down. ATIS called 1 1/2 mi, more than enough for the ILS32 at crg which needs 3/4. As I was being turned onto the localizer for the approach I had the entire length of the runway and airport in sight at about 8 mis out, but before passing the OM, jax approach said reported visibility at crg had gone to 5/8 mi. I thought they were just being helpful and nothing else was said. I went ahead and landed. I did not realize until after the visibility was 1/8 mi less than what I needed under 135. Perhaps controllers might ask 135 pilots if they still had required visibility just to jog their brains a little.

Title: ATX PLT DISREGARDS ARPT WX MINS REQUIRED FOR LNDG AT DEST ARPT WHILE OUTSIDE THE LOM.

Narrative: I WAS RETURNING AT NIGHT ON A PART 135 CARGO RUN, CEILING WAS UNLIMITED BUT VISIBILITY RIGHT AT THE SURFACE WAS GOING DOWN. ATIS CALLED 1 1/2 MI, MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR THE ILS32 AT CRG WHICH NEEDS 3/4. AS I WAS BEING TURNED ONTO THE LOC FOR THE APCH I HAD THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE RWY AND ARPT IN SIGHT AT ABOUT 8 MIS OUT, BUT BEFORE PASSING THE OM, JAX APCH SAID RPTED VISIBILITY AT CRG HAD GONE TO 5/8 MI. I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST BEING HELPFUL AND NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID. I WENT AHEAD AND LANDED. I DID NOT REALIZE UNTIL AFTER THE VISIBILITY WAS 1/8 MI LESS THAN WHAT I NEEDED UNDER 135. PERHAPS CTLRS MIGHT ASK 135 PLTS IF THEY STILL HAD REQUIRED VISIBILITY JUST TO JOG THEIR BRAINS A LITTLE.
