Narrative:
I realize that this is an aviation event reporting form, but I have a problem that, in my opinion, needs attention. My company (a scheduled carrier) has been building lines of flying that contain over 9 1/2 hours of duty without a break for food. Some lines have 10 hours with early report times, so early, nothing is open for breakfast, and no break until XX00 in the afternoon. The company refuses to give us crew meals, so we have to delay flts just so we can eat. Many times, crews are forced to gulp down meals to avoid taking delays, fearing retribution from the company. I would like to ask for your help in this matter. I respectfully request any material, reports, or data, on the effects of flying without proper nutritional food. This data will be compiled and submitted to my company, by myself, in hopes of reaching an agreement for crew meals during extended hours of duty without time for food. Please send any information you have to the address on the identify strip as promptly as possible. Your assistance can prove invaluable in preventing future incidents or accidents resulting from lack of food, incurred by excessive duty hours by my airline.
