Narrative:
The controller cleared me to taxi onto runway 3 hold short 30L use caution no hold line. My intention was to hold short of 30L, but not so far away as to interrupt the flow of traffic when cleared to takeoff. Alternating my scan between medium large transport on final and slowly taxiing on runway 3, I got to within 5 ft of painted threshold on runway 30L. I immediately did a 180 degree turn without moving any further forward. Landing controller asked the medium large transport to do a go around to keep proper separation. In future, I will use more space. Also, hold line should be painted for 30L on runway 3.

Title: AIR TAXI FAILS TO HOLD FAR ENOUGH BACK ON INTERSECTING RWY. FORCES GAR.
Narrative: THE CTLR CLRED ME TO TAXI ONTO RWY 3 HOLD SHORT 30L USE CAUTION NO HOLD LINE. MY INTENTION WAS TO HOLD SHORT OF 30L, BUT NOT SO FAR AWAY AS TO INTERRUPT THE FLOW OF TFC WHEN CLRED TO TKOF. ALTERNATING MY SCAN BTWN MLG ON FINAL AND SLOWLY TAXIING ON RWY 3, I GOT TO WITHIN 5 FT OF PAINTED THRESHOLD ON RWY 30L. I IMMEDIATELY DID A 180 DEG TURN WITHOUT MOVING ANY FURTHER FORWARD. LNDG CTLR ASKED THE MLG TO DO A GAR TO KEEP PROPER SEPARATION. IN FUTURE, I WILL USE MORE SPACE. ALSO, HOLD LINE SHOULD BE PAINTED FOR 30L ON RWY 3.
