Narrative:
No information concerning men and equipment on runway was given at any time. NOTAMS, ATIS, ground controller, or tower gave no information! Men, trucks, and equipment were first noticed after rotation. Preferred runway for departure is runway 01. Wind was 3205. Why were we not using an unobstructed runway? Why were we not advised of obstructions? A reduced power takeoff was made. We would have first requested runway 01. Failing that, we would have used maximum takeoff power.
